Hammers United have received a response from the club regarding the crest from the Bobby Moore Stand. We are in ongoing communication with the club again and we hope they will consider acquiring this piece of history.

What about trying to get some kind of structure to hang it on by the memorial gardens .

The idea is to preserve our heritage.If we can put it there it will be within 20 yards of its original home and a permanent reminder that the Boleyn Ground was once there.

What’s the story with that Old Supporters Club?
I googled it and read some crazy resent history that said after a court case about closing the club down a new committee of the club got it going again. However, it says the club do not actually use the old premises, they were (pre-covid I guess) temporarily using The Last Drop near the Olympic Park and were looking to find a new permanent venue.
I’m guessing thats not right or why put this crest in the old place?

A member contacted us and said he would pay for it and asked us to get on with buying it straight away.-So thats what we did.We fell short in the end by a grand,fundraised that in 4 hours and bought it.

No one can justify paying that amount give the money to the Bobby Moore fund if have that amount laying around or it has been collected by a group.
Make a copy of it maybe .

The supporters club now are not the old mob and i dont feel comfortable that they get to handle this crest. It wont be long before it is in jonjos front room at their house.

The old Supporters Club is not going to be demolished.They are leasing it out and are exploring thre possibilities of hanging the crest on the exterier wall.Hammers United are working closely with them.

We told them to stick the price as we thought it too high.Many contacted us saying we should have paid the price.One member has contacted us saying agree to the price and he will buy it for us.We have phoned the seller but havnt been able to speak to him yet and will try again tomorrow.
